Description

Are you seeking an opportunity to learn about the Christian book publishing profession while gaining experience in copyediting and proofreading? If so, you may be interested in this internship position.
 
Tyndale is looking for an individual who loves to work with words and is attentive to detail to join an established nonfiction editorial team during summer 2024. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with a desire to serve others, are required. The primary responsibilities are copyediting manuscripts and proofreading galleys, covers, and other materials. 


Requirements

Candidates should be about to begin their junior or senior year of college; experience with college or community publications is a plus. Candidates must have an excellent knowledge of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Candidates will need excellent computer skills; a thorough knowledge of the Bible and a growing understanding of evangelical Christian thought; and basic and growing editorial judgment and knowledge of the complexities of writing and editing.
 
The person hired for this internship will work part-time in Tyndale’s office in Carol Stream, Illinois.
